What is a Gap Year?
A gap year is a year’s break between high school and college/university, aimed at promoting a mature outlook with which to absorb the benefits of higher education.
Why consider taking a Gap Year?
A gap year offers an opportunity for school leavers not 100% convinced of their career or study plans to learn valuable life skills and visit new and interesting places. It also provides an opportunity to experience different cultures, try out new things and discover what the world has to offer.
Why a Gap Year in Africa?
Africa is a continent that offers unique and life-enriching encounters. In an increasingly fast paced world, time spent in the African bush allows contemplation and connection as well as exciting adventure. Having travelled the world there is truly nothing like falling asleep to the roar of a lion and awaking to the golden light of an African dawn.
“You know you are truly alive when you are living among lions” Karen Blixen
